The first years of school shape more than academics. They shape how your child feels about learning, about friendship, and about who God made them to be.
At Redeemer Lutheran, our youngest students are welcomed into a classroom where they feel safe, supported, and ready to grow. Teachers build daily routines that give children structure, so curiosity has room to flourish.
At Redeemer Lutheran’s Early Childhood program, your child will…
Building Early Reading and Math Skills
Redeemer Lutheran’s Early Childhood teachers work daily on listening, speaking, early reading, and writing. Students practice recognizing letters, building phonemic awareness, and developing the fine motor control needed to form letters. Numeracy grows alongside literacy through counting, patterning, and hands-on problem-solving.
Learning Through Play
Students explore through free play, guided centers, STEM activities, and group projects. They make art out of leaves, take apart flowers, and count objects. These experiences build curiosity, persistence, and understanding.
Growing Together Socially and Emotionally
Teachers hold daily morning meetings, model how to handle conflict well, and create consistent routines that help children feel secure. Students practice sharing, cooperation, and empathy every day alongside classmates and teachers.
Getting Ready for What's Next
By the time students complete Kindergarten, they’ve built foundational academic and social skills and practiced the routines that make elementary school feel familiar. They’ve also spent their first years in a place where learning is active and engaging, and Jesus is at the center of each day.
I cannot thank RLS enough for providing my child with the resource services she receives during school time. She is always determined and excited to share her memory words with me!
Redeemer Lutheran School is a child-centered environment that focuses on holistic development—intellectual, spiritual, practical, and artistic growth. Children are encouraged to explore and learn through a variety of hands-on, practical, and project-based activities that support and sustain their overall development. The school’s orderly and disciplined environment helps shape strong moral values in students, alongside fostering academic excellence.
We brought our daughter to Redeemer Lutheran School last year. My expectations were exceeded. She learned so much her first year, and we stayed because she felt safe and has been learning at an incredible pace. When I asked her what she loves about RLS, she said she had a lot of friends, the teachers are nice, and she gets to learn about Jesus.
Your child’s first school experience sets the tone for everything that follows. We’d love to show you what that looks like in person.
