Our graduates are purpose-minded students who are caring and compassionate servant-leaders who will use their knowledge, gifts, abilities, and faith to be positive influences in their community and in the world. Our portrait of a graduate is integrated with the Lutheran Academic and Religion Standards.
Developed through a partnership of Lutheran educators, the Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod (LCMS), and Concordia Publishing House, these standards are intended for use in Lutheran schools. We thank the drafting committee and the LCMS educators who offered thoughtful and helpful feedback. For other uses, please contact Concordia Publishing House.

Just like Martin Luther believed that “the school is merely the extension of the home,” recognizing that parents are a child’s first teachers in faith and life, at Redeemer Lutheran School we also believe we are an extension of your home. “You shall teach [God’s Word] diligently to your child” (Deut. 6:7). We know that a child’s character, faith, and academic growth can flourish when families and school work together. We want you to be actively involved in the academic and spiritual formation of your child. Together, we prepare students, not just for high school, but for a life of purpose as a child of God.

Since 1984, Redeemer Lutheran School has been serving the children of Howard County and providing a partnership with families who are looking for strong academics grounded in faith. Let us begin building that partnership with you today!
Redeemer Lutheran School fostered in me both a life of curiosity before the world, and an assurance in Jesus. As a Lutheran Pastor it was important for me to be well read, and as a Christian I rest only in Jesus. I, and so many others are eternally grateful to the faculty and staff of RLS for their continued work in education to Howard County and beyond!
It is hard for me to express how much RLS shaped the core memories and experiences of my childhood. It was more than just a school. It was a family based on faith; a solid Christian education that built a foundation for my high school and college years. The friendships made there still exist and are valued after 20+ years. Most importantly, I can honestly say I felt loved and cared about, from the principal to the teachers, janitors, and all the staff. As a mother myself, I wish my children had access to this quality of education where we live.
