What We Believe

Formation with a Purpose

Martin Luther believed that “the school is merely the extension of the home,” recognizing that parents are a child’s first teachers in faith and life. As the second largest parochial school group in America, Lutheran Churches have helped families for over 150 years to educate their children. At our Lutheran school, we embrace that partnership by coming alongside families to nurture each student individually, academically, and spiritually.

When students walk through our doors each day, they are known not only for their abilities, but as children of God with unique gifts and purpose. Through caring teachers, meaningful relationships, strong academics, and daily faith formation, they grow in confidence, character, and compassion. Whether leading in chapel, helping a classmate, exploring new ideas in the classroom, or serving the community, our students learn to use their God-given talents to make a difference. At Redeemer Lutheran School, the focus is not simply on preparing students for success, but on helping them grow in wisdom, faith, and service so they are equipped to live out God’s calling in the world.

We are a conservative, faith-based Lutheran school. We teach that creation happened in seven days. We also teach your children they are created in the image of God and every life matters from womb to tomb. We teach there are two genders, male and female, whom God created. We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired and inerrant Word, salvation is by grace alone through faith alone in Christ alone, and baptism is a means of grace. We also believe good works do not save us, but naturally flow from faith and love for God and neighbor. We teach discipline through Law and Gospel – God’s Law reveals sin; the Gospel announces forgiveness through Christ.
